Emergency Medicine & Trauma Care
The Department of Emergency Medicine at Baby Memorial Hospital is a state-of-the-art facility to meet the needs of a high-volume, secondary care patient population. The institute serves an average of 60000 patients per year, 365 days a year and 24 hours a day. The Department of Emergency Medicine offers some of the most advanced technologic and therapeutic modalities available in Emergency Medicine, including bedside ultrasound, a highly sophisticated advanced airway management system, a filmless digital radiology system, a scientifically designed briefing area, patient status update for the bystanders in the waiting area. A state of art resuscitation bay is well equipped to face any kind of Pediatrics and adult emergencies. The department is staffed at all times with experienced Doctors, experienced emergency nurses, and paramedics with specialized training and certification to provide advanced cardiac life support, Pediatric life support, trauma life support, and critical care.
The emergency Nurses have advanced training in resuscitation and triage. Our ED is well-equipped with 24 beds, including triage officer, ED reception, Resuscitation Bay, Triage area, observation area, fast-track OPD, Point of care lab, decontamination room, and procedure room. ED work round the clock as a team dedicated to providing emergency care.
